Black Widow will hit theaters in just a few months from now and of course, there's already been tons of promotional material released for the film. With a project as big as this one, Marvel fans show their excitement by making renditions of posters and clips of their own. However, one fanmade poster was mistakenly used as an official international poster.

Fan artist Dakota Randall shared a poster she made for the movie which pays homage to the first issue of Nathan Edmondson's Black Widow solo comic from 2014 which kicked off the "Finely Woven Thread" arc.

The poster has been shared on some sites as a fan-made poster, with other outlets saying its an official one only to later clarify that it isn't actually released by Marvel Studios. A fan shared a photo at their local cinema which used the poster as promotional material, with the artist claiming that her artwork was used without permission.

It isn't clear if the cinema has taken down the poster but it is unfortunate that the artist wasn't credited for the work. That being said, the studio has shared some official posters in the past as well as some characters posters too. With that, it is important to note that people should double-check on things like these and do not believe every single thing that's going around the web.

Black Widow is set between Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War which follows the story of Natasha Romanoff as she reunites with her family, the Red Guardian, Yelena Belova, and Melina. The film is set for release on May 1st.
