Star Wars fans will be getting their first true taste of the Mandoverse expansion as Lucasfilm is set to release The Book of Boba Fett this year. Teased during the action-packed finale of The Mandalorian Season 2, the series will mark Temuera Morrison's full-time return to the franchise following his brief but successful stint in the hit Disney+ series led by Pedro Pascal. Now, we still don't know the actual plot of the standalone Boba Fett show but according to the latest rumors, some fan-favorite characters could potentially turn up in the series.

LRM Online reports that aside from Timothy Olyphant's Cobb Vanth and Pedro Pascal's Din Djarin, another bounty hunter is set to make an appearance in The Book of Boba Fett. The scoop suggests that fan-favorite character Bossk who was first introduced in The Empire Strikes Back will also be making his Star Wars return in the series which makes all the sense in the world since the show will undoubtedly feature a who's who of the galaxy's famed bounty hunters.

The idea of Bossk showing up in the forthcoming Star Wars spinoff series doesn't seem all that surprising considering his long history with Fett. The one that may come as a shocker though is Cobb Vanth but when you think about it, the Marshal and Boba Fett technically share a connection given the fact that Vanth was once in possession of Fett's Mandalorian armor. As for Bossk, while we still don't know much about his involvement in the show, it's nice to have a familiar reptilian face around.

The Book of Boba Fett hits Disney+ this December.
