Fallout 76 Will Have Microtransactions, But Not For Perk Cards

We're about four months away from Fallout 76 coming to consoles and taking away most of our free time, which is pretty exciting. Fans have always loved exploring in these games, so being able to do it with friends has been a plus for many, though also a minus to those that want to play alone. One thing that might be more controversial than that is the Perk Cards, which players can use to better their created characters.

Many gamers were worried that these would be purchasable via microtransactions, which would make the game a part of the pay-to-win problem that has plagued other titles. Thankfully, Bethesda has cleared things up and confirmed that the Perk Cards could only be purchased when leveling up.

Admittedly, there are microtransactions in the game but they're only for cosmetic purposes according to Bethesda. What these DLC items look like are a bit of a mystery but the No Clip documentary does confirm this. Most gamers are okay with cosmetic DLC since they don't really give players a big advantage over another and they can occasionally make the characters look cooler, particularly in fighting games.

Fallout 76 is coming out on November 14 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
