Facebook Introducing A New Feature Designed To Stop TV Spoilers

Facebook is introducing a new feature that will let users block stories containing any keyword from their News Feed, and it's called "Keyword Snooze".

This will help users avoid seeing spoilers from TV shows like Game of Thrones or Westworld. And if you're tired of seeing news about Trump, you can block those stories too.

The feature quietly went live today to only a percentage of users, according to a Facebook spokesperson (via EW). To avoid spoilers, users can block keywords like "Walking Dead", "Game of Thrones", or "Dragon Ball Super." Unfortunately, the blocks are not permanent. Posts containing those blocked keywords or phrases would only be blocked from appearing in the users' News Feed for 30 days.

Snoozing keywords won't apply to ads so sponsored posts containing keywords you blocked can still appear in your News Feed. Facebook will continue to roll out this feature to more users in the near future.
