Eternals Star Barry Keoghan Teases Druig's Future, Possible Loki Team-Up

Being part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe means getting to work with other characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. That's something that Barry Keoghan already knows now that he will debut as Druig in Eternals. So who would the Eternal possibly work with if he returns to the MCU? Keoghan believes his character might be an ideal teammate for Loki.

In the comics, Druig is actually more of a villain in the Eternals storyline. But does this mean he will turn against everyone and become the bad guy? Keoghan recently spoke to ComicBookMovie where he was asked if the MCU's Druig will have a similar story arc as the comic book character. Interestingly, the Dunkirk star stated that he believes that the Eternal will take a different direction.

"I definitely think he’ll take a stand," Keoghan said. "He finds it hard not to interfere and stuff. It’s for the right reasons."

Druig is undoubtedly different from the other Eternals. Unlike Sersi or Kingo who love humanity, he is aloof and tends to stay away from the others. Sounds like somebody in the MCU? Keoghan admitted that there are characters he hopes the Eternal will work with the God of Mischief in the future.

"Him and Loki definitely have a similar thing going on, right?" Keoghan said.

We love the idea of Druig and Loki working together but it's still unclear what the future holds for the Eternals. Hopefully, they will continue to play a large role in the MCU after the movie finally hits theaters next week.

Eternals is directed by Chloe Zhao and also stars Gemma Chan, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Lia McHugh, Brian Tyree Henry, Lauren Ridloff, Don Lee, Harish Patel, Kit Harington, Salma Hayek, and Angelina Jolie. The film is scheduled for release on November 5, 2021.
