Emily VanCamp On The “Weird” Feeling She Gets Being In The MCU

Marvel has been pretty busy juggling through its roster of heroes during the past few years, allowing the neglect of supporting characters like Emily VanCamp's Sharon Carter. After making a few appearances in Captain America: Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War, Sharon's role in the MCU has significantly decreased with the character being benched in Avengers: Infinity War.

Despite her decreased participation in the MCU, Sharon was also included in Marvel Studios 10th anniversary "class photo" this year, appearing with the stars and directors of the MCU's decade of movies.

Speaking with Seth Meyers on Late Night with Seth Meyers, VanCamp decided to open up about her experience as a supporting character in the MCU.

"It's been amazing. I mean, everyone's incredible," VanCamp said on the talk show. "The movies are so amazing, so it's just incredible to be a part of them. But then being on that stage was just weird. I was like, 'What am I doing here?' Like, who said to call Emily VanCamp? 'Cause I'm like, 'This is crazy.' It was so fascinating."

Knowing how important Sharon Carter had been to Cap for some time, it's pretty understandable why Marvel would bring VanCamp back for the class photo. Right now it remains to be seen whether or not Sharon would be appearing in the MCU again. Besides, we still don't know whether or not Carter was one of those who survived Thanos' finger-snapping massacre in Avengers: Infinity War.

Hopefully, we'll get to learn more about her fate in Avengers 4.

Avengers 4 hits cinemas May 3, 2019.
