Emily Swallow is currently catching a lot of heat for her response to the Star Wars fandom's desire to see her character The Armorer and Katee Sackhoff's Bo-Katan Kryze become an item in the MandoVerse.
You see, The Mandalorian Season 3 finally saw their characters cross paths and despite the duo only sharing a short amount of screen time together, their undeniable chemistry was just too hard to ignore.
While the show never actually teased that something romantic involving The Armorer and Bo-Katan will happen, many viewers are convinced that there's actual tension between the two and for weeks, they've made it their mission to let the internet know.
Swallow, who's apparently well aware of the whole Bo-Katan and Armorer "ship" pretty much disapproved of the idea. Appearing at the 2023 Calgary Expo, she said: "I feel like it ruins a show".
Turns out, Swallow's statement didn't sit well with a lot of fans and as soon as it hit the radar, the actress got lambasted over her "controversial" stance. Check out some of the reactions below:

To be fair, Swallow wasn't only pertaining to a potential Bo-Katan and The Armorer romance. During the panel, she did clarify that she's not interested in her character getting romantically involved with anyone in the series and that's just something fans have to respect.
And like I said before, if the romance plot would only distract from the show's story and not benefit the characters from a creative standpoint, then there shouldn't be any need to go that route.
I'd much rather see The Armorer continue becoming Mandalore's mother figure more than anything. That role suits her well. As for Bo, just keep being the badass that she is.
