Elizabeth Olsen Thinks That Tony Stark's Nightmare Had No Connection With Infinity War or Avengers 4

Many Marvel fans believe that the nightmare Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) inflicted upon Tony Stark (Rober Downey Jr.) in Avengers: Age of Ultron is a sign of the Avengers' demise in their war against Thanos but Olsen thinks that it's just a sign of doom if Ultron defeated the Earth's mightiest heroes.

In a report by Comicbook.com, Olsen shared his thoughts about Stark's nightmare in the second Avengers film. "I don't know. I don't know if that's what could have happened if Ultron took over," Olsen admitted. "I'm not sure. I think it's up to interpretation. It wasn't something that I remember someone was saying that we're going to go full circle to Infinity War — there wasn't an Infinity War at that time [laughs]. But I think I always thought of it being what would happen if Ultron won. But I think it's more interesting the way you're thinking about it."

In Avengers: Age of Ultron, Scarlet Witch used her sorcery to implant a nightmarish vision in Stark's mind: the Chitauri soaring over his killed or nearly dead teammates Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Captain America (Chris Evans), The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Black Widow (Scarlet Johansson), and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner). It's easy to assume that this horrible vision has a connection with Thanos since all of them actually survived his snap.

Avengers 4, directed by the Russo brothers, will be released in theaters on May 3.
