Elizabeth Olsen has been in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for seven years now and despite playing second fiddle for most of her tenure in the franchise, the Wanda Maximoff actress is finally getting the spotlight a lot of fans think she's long been denied. Now, there's no doubt that her character will be the focal point of the upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness but apparently, not everyone is thrilled that she's seemingly getting all of the attention in a film that is supposed to be centered on the Master of Mystic Arts himself.

With all the hype and momentum Scarlet Witch has been getting since WandaVision, some fans are beginning to turn on the 33-year-old star, thinking that she doesn't deserve her current spot in the billion-dollar franchise. Olsen has constantly been trending on Twitter which led to user @bigmonkeong trying to stir the pot with the fandom by questioning how the actress has become "the most overrated actress in the MCU".

Naturally, the actresses' followers came to her defense and they won't be settling for any defamation thrown at the actress. Check out some of the reactions below:

Personally speaking, I think it's unfair to call Lizzie "overrated" just because she's finally getting her moment. For the longest time, Wanda has only been seen as a supporting hero and I feel like Marvel hasn't used the character to her full potential. And besides, Scarlet Witch has always been a top-tier character even in the comics so it makes sense for her to finally come out of her shell.

That said, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is set to hit cinemas on May 6, 2022.
