It's no secret that Wanda Maximoff has a major role in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and most of her storyline centers on her search for Billy and Tommy (her kids in WandaVision) which would lead to the "multiverse of madness" that Doctor Strange would find himself into. However, Vision was notably absent throughout the film since Wanda wasn't looking for him and now we have an explanation regarding it.

Speaking with Collider, Elizabeth Olsen was asked if they gave her any explanations regarding why Wanda wasn't looking for Vision in one of the other multiverses which would end up for the character being absent all throughout and was only mentioned earlier in the film.

"There's a whole list of things, like my brother, my parents. I think the main reason when we would talk about if there is this multiverse, and in the version of the universe this woman wasn't with Vision," she said. "We liked having that be a mystery. For some reason, he's not in her world. I always thought of her as more of a domestic Wanda. They got divorced. They're separated. She's not wearing a wedding band for a reason. Like those kinds of things. We liked the idea of her being on her own. The idea really is that the most important thing once you become a mother in the world are your children, and that's why."

Story-wise, it makes sense to hear Olsen's explanation regarding why Vision was absent in the film since they want to focus more on finding her children. In addition, they already explored her grief regarding Vision's death during WandaVision, and having him show up in the film could have messed up what they did on the show.

However, that doesn't mean that Vision will not ever show up again in the MCU since we know that White Vision is still around after the events of WandaVision. We still don't know yet if we will see him ever again and which future MCU project he might show up to. One's thing for sure is there is a chance for Wanda to reunite with a Vision again in some way.
