Who are Cher's Sons?
Before welcoming her firstborn, Cher suffered many miscarriages. It wasn't until March 4, 1969, that she gave birth to Chaz Bono with her husband Sonny Bono. Although the two split in 1974, they remained close until he died in 1998.
Days after her divorce from Sonny was finalized, Cher married Gregg Allman from The Allman Brothers Band. Nine days after their wedding, Cher filed for divorce. But they eventually reconciled and had a child, Elijah Blue Allman, in 1976.
In 1979, the couple divorced, and Cher was left to raise her two kids as a single mother.
Although she doesn't have a perfect relationship with her sons, Cher told Robin McGraw on Dr. Phil in 2004:
“I always, always wanted to be a mother. I’m proud of, in this lifetime, they both have got great morals. They tell the truth, they root for the underdog, they have respect for people. The things that my mom made me think were the most important things, my children have them.”
Does Elijah Blue Allman Have Any Children?
Elijah Blue Allman got married to a British singer, named Marie Angela King, in December 2013 in Beverly Hills. Cher was not invited to the wedding.
Unfortunately, the marriage did not last long since Marie Angela filed for divorce in December 2022. She alleged that she "was asked to leave our family home by [Elijah's] mother" since he was in a treatment center for medical care (via Closer Weekly).
Marie Angela and Elijah Blue Allman did not have any children.
Does Chaz Bono Have Any Children?
Chaz Bono was born Chastity Bono. When she was young, she joined her parents on stage and would warm the hearts of the audience by bidding them goodnight.
She publicly came out as a lesbian when she was 18 years old. But it wasn't until she turned 40 that Chastity transitioned to Chaz. The process was fully documented in the film, Becoming Chaz.
Today, Chaz has been in a long-term relationship with former child star, Shara Blue Mathes. The two share a private life away from social media.
