Eiichiro Oda is on a roll in the latest One Piece chapters as things are getting even more exciting. Though Oda did cook up a hilarious mistranslation featuring Sanji in the One Piece Chapter 1081 color page.
While it’s a fairly simple mistranslation, it was quite funny, enough that it attracted attention from English-speaking fans.
But there is a good explanation for it. Not to mention that it doesn’t ruin the exciting recent events in the manga.

Eiichiro Oda Is Cooking Up Something Big in One Piece
The beginning of the current One Piece arc was centered on Luffy and the Straw Hats in Egghead Island with Vegapunk. Though the recent chapters followed some different events.
Previously, fans were treated to Shanks going all out against Kid. Then there’s Garp who finally showed off his incredible power as he led the way to save Koby.
Before he was able to save Koby though, the former Admiral Aokiji appeared, revealing that he is the 10th captain of Blackbeard’s fleet.
The chapter also revealed how Aokiji joined the Blackbeard Pirates.
While their fight has not ended yet, the chapter also showed Law and the Heart Pirates being defeated by Blackbeard and his crew.
But before Blackbeard can steal Law's Devil Fruit, Bepo manages to save Law and make a run for it.
Despite how strong Kid and Law have become, it seems that their powers are not enough against the other Emperors.
And now, fans are hoping that Luffy doesn’t suffer the same fate.

One Piece Chapter 1081 Features Hilarious Mistranslation
The latest events are filled with lots of action involving some of the world’s most powerful fighters. But the new color page features a peaceful depiction of the Straw Hats sleeping soundly.
Everyone is asleep in the art, except for Sanji who is reading a cookbook. But what’s funny is that the book is titled Cocking instead of Cooking.
This hilarious mistranslation of "cooking" got attention from fans given how slightly NSFW it is, though there is possibly a good reason for this.
As noted by @newworldartur, “cooking” is translated into Japanese as “kucking” (in romaji).
Because of this, a lot of Japanese speakers tend to incorrectly romanize “cooking“ as “cocking.”
Though it might also be a play on words to add the word “king” there. Whatever it is, it’s a small yet funny mistranslation.
