Over the past couple of weeks, Sasuke x Sakura shippers were delighted to see the Sasuke Retsuden light novel be adapted into several Boruto episodes.

While it’s not clear which part of the timeline it takes place in, this wasn’t an issue for many fans as it had lots of Sasuke and Sakura moments.

Now though, things are getting serious once again with the start of the Code’s Assault arc, also known as the Code Invasion arc in the manga.

The arc’s beginning was marked with a new key visual, which you can see here:

This new visual features Eida front and center, with Kawaki and Boruto flanking her with intense expressions on their faces.

While Eida is the highlight of the latest episode and the visual, many fans are excited to see the arc depicted in anime form.

After all, Code’s Assault is the current arc in the manga, though it’ll be interesting to see how it’ll be adapted.

Without going too deep into spoiler territory, Eida is a cyborg that has been modified by Amado.

In the latest episode, Code wakes Eida up in his quest to carry out Isshiki Otsutsuki's legacy.

As a fan-favorite in the manga, many were delighted to see Eida in the Boruto anime.

Aside from her design in the anime being praised, many were also delighted that Demon Slayer’s Mitsuri VA, Kana Hanazawa, is voicing her.

The excitement for both Eida and the new arc is understandable considering that the anime is finally adapting manga chapters.

Over the past year, the anime featured anime-original content. This is because the Boruto manga has a monthly release schedule, meaning the anime needs to include original “filler” arcs so that it doesn’t overtake the source material.

You’ll see more of Eida when Boruto: Naruto Next Generations airs Episode 288 this weekend.
