Stranger Things is coming to an end soon, but fans are still reminiscent of their favorite characters throughout its run, and it happens to include Argyle. This time, though, we get to see the actor who plays the Netflix character in a different light. So, who is Eduardo Franco in the Self Reliance movie?
Fan-Favorite Stranger Things Character Returns On-Screen
There's a good chance you're already familiar with Eduardo Franco who is best known for playing the role of Argyle in Stranger Things Season 4. He is depicted as the best friend of Jonathan Byers (played by Charlie Heaton).
Apart from always being there for Jonathan whenever he experiences trouble dating Nancy Wheeler (played by Natalie Dyer), Argyle has been the uplifting side character whenever the group panics about Vecna's plans of torturing his friends and their town.
Considering that Franco has been known to be quite the comedian in his roles, including his previous Netflix role in the American Vandal series, fans are surprised to see he's stepped into a darker role in the upcoming flick coming out on Hulu this January.

Argyle is Not So Argyle in the Self-Reliance Movie
One of 2024's most anticipated flicks is the Self Reliance movie, where Franco stars alongside the likes of New Girl and Spider-Verse star Jake Johnson and Brooklyn Nine-Nine's Andy Samberg.
While Franco's role has yet to be revealed in Self Reliance, we can deduce his small appearance in the official trailer. He may still be playing a smaller role than Johnson and Anna Kendrick, but his brief screentime tells a teaser around his character.
That said, it's reading between his one-liner, "Wake up. You are not as safe as you think you are."
Considering that Self Reliance is all about avoiding getting killed for 30 whole days, Eduardo Franco may be playing one of the bad guys hoping to get Johnson to lose $1 million. Otherwise, we would have to wait until his role is officially announced.
Meanwhile, the official synopsis for the upcoming Self Reliance movie reads:
Tommy receives an invitation to win $1 million by playing a game where he must outwit hunters attempting to kill him. He realizes the hunters can only attack him when he's alone, but none of his friends and family believe the game is real.
The Self Reliance movie will be streaming on Hulu on January 12, 2024!
