The Star Wars franchise without a doubt can be considered a multimedia juggernaut and for years now, the science-fiction property has also dominated the world of video games.

One of the franchise's most recent offerings Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has been getting generally positive reviews from fans and critics since its release back in 2019, so much so that it prompted developers Electronic Arts to begin working on a follow-up.

However, despite teasing an announcement related to the potential release of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2, Star Wars fans and gamers alike seemingly showed zero interest in the project. Taking to Twitter, EA's official Star Wars handle posted a cryptic tweet seemingly confirming that Fallen Order's sequel may in fact be in the works. The tweet was conveniently posted ahead of next month's EA Play event.

Instead of getting excited about the possible blockbuster announcement, fans stormed the @EAStarWars Twitter account to let their collective voices be heard and demanded the gaming company to work on the long-overdue Star Wars Battlefront III. Check out the reactions below:

Fans have long been clamoring for EA to do the third installment in the Star Wars Battlefront series so it doesn't come as a surprise anymore how the majority of the fandom would much prefer the gaming company to develop Battlefront III instead of giving Fallen Order a sequel. To be fair, Fallen Order has its loyal fanbase but if we're talking about which title deserves a follow-up more, it's definitely Battlefront.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is playable on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Series S, Google Stadia, and Microsoft Windows.
