A popcorn bucket merchandise tie-in for the upcoming highly-anticipated film Dune: Part 2 is getting viral online due to its unusual design that reminded people of a certain NSFW item.
YouTube Cris Parker of 3C Films shared in his post on X a first-look image at the popcorn bucket for Dune: Part 2. It is part of the film's promotional campaign ahead of its upcoming release this coming March.
However, its design caught the attention of many people online as the sandworm design at the top of the bucket reminded them of a fleshlight sex toy.
We have seen a lot of blockbuster films in the past get creative with the designs of their popcorn bucket merch and it's not surprising that Dune: Part 2 did it as well. However, its results have an unfortunate resemblance to the NSFW item.

It spawned various responses ranging from sexually explicit jokes to simply making on the design itself and pointing out how the people responsible for the making of the bucket did not realize the NSFW possibilities of the design.

This is not the first time that promotional material for the film became an unexpected viral sensation, as the recently released IMAX poster also made rounds online for its uncanny resemblance to a giant chihuahua.
Where Can You Get the Viral Dune: Part 2 Popcorn Bucket?
So far, there are no official details yet regarding where people can purchase the viral Dune: Part 2 popcorn bucket. It is likely going to be available in a popular movie theater chain.
However, we can certainly rule out Alamo Drafthouse as the potential movie theater chain where the item might be available as they confirmed in a recent X post that they won't be selling it.
"No, we will not have the cursed DUNE popcorn bucket," they wrote in their post.
Based on the online responses, we can safely say that a lot of people will keep their eye on the release of the popcorn bucket and we might be hearing more details regarding its availability once we're much closer to the release of the film.
Dune: Part 2 is set to arrive in theaters this March 1.
