Drew Goddard Gives Update on X-Force Movie

With the Disney/Fox merger likely happening, there are a lot of questions surrounding the future of upcoming X-Men movies. While movies like X-Men: Dark Phoenix and New Mutants are going to come out next year, other more obscure projects like Drew Goddard's X-Force movie have less information regarding the matter.

Speaking with CinemaBlend, Goddard gave fans a fairly minor update and it looks like we will not be seeing the movie until he starts working on it. Apparently, he is busy with his current movie and has described himself as a "one movie guy," which is totally fine. If it means that he can focus on movies better this way, then more power to him.

"It's a good question. I've learned I'm very much a one-movie-at-a-time kind of guy, and they all know. It's the same studio, which is nice, so they can say, 'Okay, get [Bad Times At The El Royale] done,' and then once I get this movie done and get this into theaters we'll turn our attention that way."

X-Force is expected to follow up on the events of Deadpool 2, though we don't know the full roster yet. Cable, Deadpool, and Domino are the only confirmed members thus far and it will be interesting to see who else is added to the lineup, especially after the sequel killed off original members like Shatterstar.

No release date or window for X-Force has been given, though we do know that Deadpool star T.J. Miller will not be returning. Deadpool 2 should get a Blu-Ray release soon, with a number of extras and deleted scenes confirmed for the home release.
