Dragon Ball Super: Broly Might Make Fans Shed Tears

Dragon Ball Super: Broly is a few months away but fans are still amped up to see the popular series continue, especially after the events of the Tournament of Power. Fans are expecting to see plenty of action and a few good jokes from Akira Toriyama since the manga creator is very good at handling fight sequences and comedy. However, if this Broly executive is true, it looks like fans will be crying as well.

Apparently, we will be crying after the first 20 minutes, which is interesting to hear. While the Dragon Ball series has had a few emotional moments, only a few of them have made fans tear up. Prime examples include Vegeta's final attack against Majin Buu and Trunks finding Future Gohan's dead body after he was killed by the Androids.

We don't know what will be in these first 20 or so minutes but if we had to take a guess, it will probably be Bardock's farewell to Goku. Everyone is expecting to see the poorly-received Dragon Ball Minus brought into the canon via this movie, which is really worrying. Guess the excellent Bardock: Father of Goku TV special is no longer canon.

Then again, it could be something else entirely. Maybe Broly will have a really sad origin this time; one that doesn't include hearing Goku cry like a baby. Perhaps Freeza is involved as well? We'll have to wait for more promotional material before anything concrete is released but it can be fun to speculate.

Dragon Ball Super: Broly comes out in Japan on December 14 and will come to the US next year, on January 16.
