While fans are highly-anticipating the next arc of the Dragon Ball Super manga series by artist Toyotaro and creator Akira Toriyama, a new illustration of Ultra Instinct Goku has emerged to help mitigate the wait.

As many fans already know, Dragon Ball Super Chapter 88, which is expected to begin the manga's next arc, after the conclusion of Granolah the Survivor arc in Chapter 87, is not scheduled to release in October 2022. The popular manga series is currently in a short hiatus, but fans shouldn't wait for too long for the next arc to begin.

The new Ultra Instinct Goku illustration comes from the manga's artist Toyotaro himself, and as Twitter user DBHype shared below, the illustration was done for an Interval Special. Goku, in his Ultra Instinct - Sign form, looks powerful as ever, and it looks like he's getting ready to do an Instant Transmission.

While Goku's Ultra Instinct form is one of the most powerful transformations we've seen in Dragon Ball Super, it's probably not powerful enough to take down Black Frieza, the new transformation of the iconic villain (as Chapter 87 revealed). It's still unclear if the next arc of the manga series will focus on the conflict with Frieza or a new villain.

Dragon Ball Super fans are also hoping for the anime's revival after the series concluded with the end of the Universe Survival Saga in March 2018, but Toei Animation hasn't shared any recent updates about the anime series.

Expect Shueisha to reveal more details about the next arc and Dragon Ball Super Chapter 88 soon.
