Dragon Ball fans are highly-anticipating the releae of the next feature film of Akira Toriyama's anime franchise, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, which is set to release in 2022, but it looks like Goku will be returning ahead of that.
Back in 2018, Funimation assisted in releasing a Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade balloon for Son Goku in his Super Saiyan Blue form to help promote the release of Dragon Ball Super: Broly. Anime fans were delighted to see one of the most popular shonen characters in the history of anime, and now it looks like Goku will be returning this Thanksgiving as Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade already confirmed that the Saiyan will be back for the celebration.
Over on Twitter, user Tanooki Kuribo has shared an update from Toei Animation that Goku will return to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parad with his Super Saiyan Blue look.
Macy's Parade Group's Vice President of Partnership Marketing, Jordan Dabby, previously talked about the details about the creation of the Goku Balloon and how it's far different compared to other floats featured during the Thanksgiving Day Parade.
"Everything about him is different from the average character you see in the Parade," Dabby explained. "Goku is distinct. His hair is distinct. It's very challenging to take a balloon and make it human...he has this body definition that few characters have. When you get to aerodynamics, inflatable likes to be round. If we were to round out the spikes of his hair it wouldn't look like Goku. A lot went into making sure his hair was as pointed as we can possibly get away with while making sure it still flies the way it should."

So far, no other Dragon Ball or any anime characters are expected to have their own float at this year's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, but expect more characters from pop culture to show up at the festivities.
