Dragon Ball FighterZ: Freeza's Cooler Brother Revealed as Latest DLC Character

While not too exciting for those that uncovered the DLC via data mining, fans are still mildly interested in Cooler, the latest character to join Dragon Ball FighterZ. Though not the best character from the non-canon Dragon Ball films, Cooler's appearance, and un-Freeza-like attitude did give him some fans. Plus, he's displayed enough interesting moves from those movies to make for a varied in-game move-set.

Unlike his brother, who has a more long-range oriented style of fighting, Cooler is more of a rush-down kind of character. He has a couple of neat close-range attacks, including that move where he grabs the opponent and sends him down to the ground. Cooler still has a few range attacks, like a basic ki-blast, but it seems like the developers are doing their best to make him play differently from his brother, which is a smart move.

Another wise choice was to have him in his final form, which looks a bit like the Super Shredder from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Still, there's no denying how cool it looks. Plus, his frame is massive, making him, Broly, Nappa, and Android 16 the only "big" characters in the game.

Since all of the data mining has been on point, it looks like Android 17 will be the last fighter. He will supposedly be based on his Super incarnation, which is the best version of the character. I mean, he did win the Tournament of Power.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, with a Nintendo Switch release coming soon. Cooler will be a part of the FighterZ Pass but has no release date. Base Goku and Vegeta will be out in a few days, while Bardock, Broly, Fused Zamasu, and SSGSS Vegito are available now.
