Doom Patrol Star Hints At Silas Stone Being The Real Villain

The second episode of Doom Patrol has finally brought in Victor Stone to help the hapless heroes save The Chief. But is it possible that Donkey Patrol also introduced another villain other than Mr. Nobody? There are speculations that Cyborg's father Silas Stone might not be much of a good guy in the DC Universe series.

In Donkey Patrol, everyone ended up in a different dimension where Mr. Nobody tortured them by making them relieve their worst nightmares. In Cyborg's case, it was the explosion that killed his mother and being operated on by his father. Interestingly, it was teased that Silas may have tampered with Victor's memories of his mom's death.

So does this make Silas a bad guy? Phil Morris, who plays the character in Doom Patrol, told Cinemablend that Silas doesn't see himself as a villain. However, he did admit that the scientist is up to something "questionable."

"The only thing I can say about that is that what that sets up is, is Silas a good man or a sketchy or bad guy? Silas never sees himself as the bad guy. That doesn't mean he doesn't do questionable things," Morris said.

Morris also teased on the possibility that Silas had changed Cyborg's memories of the disaster.

"We don't know if he's tampered with his memories, but in Silas' mind, if he has, it's to save Vic. It's to save him emotional distress. Whether that's tampering with the memory of his mother's death... Was Silas responsible? Was Vic responsible? Was it all Elinore's doing? Again, I can't say what the reality of that is, but those are the questions, and that's why people don't trust Silas. That's why Victor doesn't trust him," he said.

We're not sure if we trust Silas, either. Nevertheless, we're looking forward to seeing more of him, as well as Cyborg and the team, in the third episode.

Doom Patrol Season 1 Episode 3 is titled Puppet Patrol. The new episode will air on DC Universe on March 1.
