The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live is now here. After waiting for The Walking Dead's spin-off series, we finally get to see Michonne and Rick reunite. The spinoff also introduces us to Donald Okafor in The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live. Here's who he is.

Who is Okafor in The Walking Dead?
Before the zombie apocalypse, Donald Okafor was a U.S. Air Force pilot. He was married to a Marine officer named Estelle.
When the outbreak started, Okafor was part of Operation Cobalt. He was assigned to bomb Atlanta and Los Angeles to get rid of the zombies. His wife was part of the team that would "liquidate" the zombies who survived these bombings.
In the next part of the operation, they were assigned to bomb Philadelphia. But because they didn't want to take part in killing innocent people, they had defected to the Pennsylvania National Guard's side.
Okafor had to bomb the Lincoln Financial Field, killing 4,000 Marines (including Estelle). By doing so, the National Guard was able to save the city from total destruction.
With his actions, Okafor has been named as the person in the entire The Walking Dead universe with the highest direct kill count.
What Happened to Okafor in The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live?
Lieutenant Colonel Donald Okafor is in The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live where he is part of the Civic Republic Military (CRM). In the spin-off series, we see Okafor as someone who's hoping to change the CRM from the inside.
After meeting Rick (played by Andrew Lincoln), he takes a special interest in him as he believes he can help him achieve his mission.
But before he can do that, he helps keep Rick out of trouble, especially since Rick insists on escaping.
While out on a mission with Rick, the two are flying a helicopter. He tells Rick about his plan and encourages him to "swear on the sword."
But before he can finish, a whooshing projectile hits him and shakes the helicopter they are in. Another hit sends the helicopter to the ground. Rick radios the base to let them know they are being attacked.
Around him, a missile takes out his other comrades. Before he could reach his gun, however, a helmeted samurai swings her sword toward his throat.
When Rick's helmet is removed, the samurai stops in her tracks. It's revealed that the samurai is none other than his wife, Michonne (played by Danai Gurira).
Who Plays Okafor in TWD?
Donald Okafor in The Walking Dead franchise is played by Craig Tate. Not much is known about Tate except for his height: 6'1."
He is famous for his roles in Greyhound, 12 Years a Slave, King Richard, and When the Game Stands Tall.
