Does Thanos Become The Punisher in Cosmic Ghost Rider #5?

It seems like Donnie Cates is trying to top himself when it comes to ridiculously awesome Marvel moments. He already brought us the JuggerDuck, a version of Howard the Duck powered up by Juggernaut Cyttorak crystal, and Venom with dragon wings so what else can he do? Seems like the writer wants to keep doing these awesome feats of ridiculousness as the cover of Cosmic Ghost Rider #5 teases us with a Thanos seemingly inspired by The Punisher.

For those unaware, the Cosmic Ghost Rider mini-series has Frank Castle (the Cosmic Ghost Rider and former Punisher) kidnap baby Thanos and try to raise him better. It's a pretty crazy concept and one that has caught the attention of other cosmic Marvel characters who feel like Castle can't just do what he wants.

Turns out that he might be right as the final cover of the mini-series shows us a Thanos with a Punisher outfit, which is crazy yet intriguing. This might sound too ridiculous to some but if you have been following Donnie Cates' Thanos run, you know that this concept is right up his alley.

We already know how deadly Thanos is by himself so having him become an unhinged vigilante like Frank Castle could make him even scarier. Could the remaining cosmic Marvel characters have a point? Should Frank just return baby Thanos? Find out this November.

Cosmic Ghost Rider is available now on comic stores and digital outlets.
