Solo Leveling unfolds in the modern world but in a version full of monsters. Gifted individuals known as Hunters are tasked with protecting humanity.

Sung Jin-Woo is mockingly known as the world's weakest hunter, barely more powerful than an average human.

As such, his life is a constant struggle for survival, but he perseveres in order to provide for his family.

One day, a fight with a monster in a dungeon causes a near-death experience from which Jin-Woo emerges as an over-powered Hunter.

Now capable of accessing the world's stats in a way similar to D&D or RPG video games, Jin-Woo can level up to an extent no one in his world has before and perhaps. Will this power allow him to save the world? Read the manhwa to find out!

Normally, this question can be answered in a straightforward way. Jin-Woo's case is a bit complicated because he dies more than once over the course of the webtoon, but he somehow still manages to survive the ending of Solo Leveling against all odds.

When Jin-Woo dies for the first time, he sets off a chain of events with implications for the entire story, as none of it would have happened if he hadn't returned with unusual powers.

In the semi-final big battle, Jin-Woo faces another near-death experience that allows him to find out more about the original Shadow Monarch and about many events directly related to the war he's fighting.

At that point, Jin-Woo is given the option of returning to the world of the living and he accepts. As tired as he is of all the fighting he can't leave others to fight his battle.

By the final chapters, Jin-Woo might be alive but his life as we knew it throughout the series has ended.

Using the Cup of Resurrection one last time, Jin-Woo managed to defeat the final threats to humanity in another dimension.

Once that was achieved Jin-Woo returns to his own world but in a slightly confused timeline whereby he is a teenager.

The final chapter chose vibes and ideas over detailed explanations and battles so Jin-Woo's new youth wasn't much elaborated upon, but it could mean a new chance at life; not undeserved after so much struggling and war.
