Does Bruce Die in The Brothers Sun?
After getting orders to kill his younger brother in front of his mother, Charles (played by Justin Chien) decides to let his sibling go.
Another potential threat to Bruce's life comes from Grace (played by Madison Hu), his love interest. The show also reveals that Grace was never interested in Bruce. Instead, she stayed close friends with Bruce to exact revenge on the man who killed her father.
Learning that his son disobeyed his order, Big Sun (played by Johnny Kou) asks his assassin to step in and finish the job. When she can, Mama Sun (played by Michelle Yeoh) chokes the assassin using a phone cord.
Bruce then has a confrontation with his father. But before his father can do anything to harm him, Bruce shoots him and inflicts a flesh wound on him. While at the hospital, he gets arrested for the act.
Meanwhile, Mama Sun dresses up as a nurse and changes her husband's chart. This way, Big Sun will no longer be able to come after his family.
What Happens to Bruce in the End of The Brothers Sun?
With his father out of the way, the trio are able to pursue their goals. Mama Sun flies to Taiwan as she takes her place as the Dragon Head. Meanwhile, Charles is able to perfect his churro recipe and puts up his own business.
As for Bruce, he opts to stay behind in the San Gabriel Valley so he can perform with his improv troupe.
The ending of the series also gives the estranged brothers a chance to reconnect anew. It'll obviously take some time, but Charles' effort to get to know his brother does not go unappreciated.
The ending of The Brothers Sun is lightweight and does not require too much thinking. If you want to watch a show with a simple storyline, The Brothers Sun is something to go with.
