For those who didn’t know, Akebi is none other than Amado Sanzu’s daughter. She had an incurable disease of unknown origin, which made the doctors give up on her after failing to find an effective treatment.

As a result, Amado opted to provide a new body for Akebi rather than create a cure or develop a treatment. He believes that it will be more beneficial for Akebi to exist in a new body since he trusts his cloning abilities and experience.

During the nine months of the clone development, Akebi unfortunately passed away. Even so, Amado was successful in preserving her brain, and so are her memories in digital form.

He believes that once he implants Akebi’s data into her new cloned body, everything will be back to normal.

Unfortunately, that’s not what happened. Akebi’s clone may have contained her memories, but it doesn’t have the same personality.

No matter how many times Amado tries to create a clone, the results are the same. Thus, the clones came to be known as Delta.

That’s when Jigen approached Amado and asked him to join Kara.

Jigen promised Amado that he would help him resurrect Akebi, but in reality, he was only asked to join the organization to help achieve Isshiki Otsutsuki’s goal.

Amado didn’t lose hope after he learned what karma is and its resurrection abilities.

Later, Amado altered Kawaki’s karma after Isshiki’s soul was eradicated in the belief that Kawaki could apply karma to a cloned body, which could finally resurrect Akebi, this time with her personality.

Karmic resurrection is the only way to restore a human’s soul exactly as it was, and Amado will stop at nothing to use it to have Akebi back.

So far, Akebi has yet to return to Boruto, despite Amado’s efforts to revive her, clone her, and give her a new body.

Worse, Amado has been affected by Eida’s omnipotence, and he believed that he embedded Akebi’s data when he reconstituted Boruto’s dispelled Karma.

However, in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 5, Akebi’s name was once again mentioned as Amado began to get suspicious that a part of his memory had been altered.

It turns out that a scientist like Amado will always be able to identify his handy work, even if he doesn’t have any recollection of doing it. He figured out that Kawaki possessed the karma containing Akebi and not Boruto.

On the contrary, fans are theorizing that Akebi will not be able to return to Boruto since she is already destined to die. Her destiny has been written in her DNA, which means there’s no way Amado’s efforts will pay off in the end.

Some believe that Delta is already Akebi since they possess the same memories. Amado just has to deal with Delta’s different personality and move on.

Others think that Amado has already prepared a different vessel for Akebi’s data to be embedded in.

At this point, anything can happen as the plot develops in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex. What do you think? Will Akebi return for real?
