The longest-running sci-fi series, Doctor Who, continues to this day with the upcoming fifteenth Doctor, Ncuti Gatwa, to keep up the legacy. With the Doctor Who 60th Anniversary Special coming this November, here's a little watch order for the Doctor Who to keep you up-to-date on how the Time Lord's adventures began.

The Early Doctor Who (1963-1989, First to Eighth Doctors)

The most recent and present Doctors wouldn't have existed in today's time if the early Doctors had not kickstarted the series. The first part of the series consisted of the first to eighth Doctors' run on the small screens.

This was also the era when the Doctors were known for wearing long vibrant scarves around their necks rather than the iconic bowties we've known as their signature style in today's time.

The early Doctors include William Hartnell as the First Doctor, Patrick Troughton as the Second Doctor, Jon Pertwee as the Third Doctor, Tom Baker's Fourth Doctor (the longest and arguably one of the early favorite Doctors on the show), Peter Davidson's Fifth Doctor, Colin Baker's Sixth Doctor, Sylvester McCoy's Seventh Doctor, and lastly, Paul McGann's short run as the Eighth Doctor.

The modern era starts with Christopher Eccleston's Ninth Doctor. While he rebooted the franchise as the Ninth, he was also the second shortest run on this list of the new time of the Doctor Who series.

What Whovians felt began the new era of Doctors was when David Tennant's Tenth Doctor came into the picture. Tennant's Doctor was the longest-running Doctor in the modern era and had the most companions in his run.

Not to mention, the most featured return in the series and its holiday and anniversary specials, too.

Now then, moving past Tennant's era, there's Matt Smith's Eleventh Doctor as the famous bow-tie wearer, whose run was just as hyped as when Tennant joined the league.

Peter Capaldi's Twelfth Doctor soon came after and was prominently known for being in the era of facing off with the reimagined Master of the series.

Then Jodie Comer's Thirteenth Doctor made history for playing the first ever female Doctor in the run who got to battle off with a new set of companions and familiar enemies in the history of the show.

The Doctor Who 60th Anniversary Special will mark Tennant's short return as, surprisingly, the Fourteenth Doctor, which begs the question as to why his body regenerated into his old form rather than into the new actor entirely.

But right up next will be Ncuti Gatwa's official reign in the series as the Fifteenth Doctor, whose episodes will be made available to stream on Disney Plus alongside the 60th Anniversary Specials.

Where Can I Watch All the Doctor Who Episodes?

As of November this year, BBC has launched the Whoniverse.

What exactly is the Whoniverse? Well, it used to be the fandom name for all things related to the sci-fi series, but now, it's the live BBC iPlayer hub featuring all over 800 episodes of the Doctor Who show.

From the classic era, all the way to the revived modern era of Doctors, including the spinoff shows you might be interested in the franchise, too!

The full list of shows available on the Whoniverse consists of Tales of the TARDIS, Doctor Who Confidential, K9 & Company: A Girl's Best Friend, Doctor Who: Dreamland, Doctor Who: The Infinity Quest, The Sarah Jane Adventures, Torchwood, Class, The Science of Doctor Who and even more behind-the-scenes and unreleased audios.
