Doctor Who: A Better Look at Jodie Whittaker's Sonic Screwdriver

Doctor Who comes back later this year, and Jodie Whittaker is gearing up for her first outing as Doctor number thirteen. With every regenration of the Doctor comes new things, like a new face, a new catchphrase, and a new TARDIS interior. Thanks to a poster for the upcoming season, we have a closer look at the Doctor's new Sonic Screwdriver.

Check it out:

It' worth noting that the shape of this screwdriver looks to be pretty organic, unlike the designs for Doctors nine through twelve. It's white and curvy, and it has an orange light instead of the previously used blue and green.

With new showrunner Chris Chibnall at the helm, we should expect some new shakeups to the classic Who formula. Then again, Capaldi's version already had its own aversions to traditions. I just recently realized that Capaldi's Doctor didn't actually have his own catchphrase. I'm just crossing my fingers that they give Whittaker her own thing to say for her run as the Doctor.

Going back to the poster though, am I the only one that noticed that it kind of looks like it's covered with Infinity Stones from Avengers: Infinity War? Guess they want to bank in on that movie's popularity if it's going to get them those extra viewers.

Doctor Who 11 is set to come out sometime this fall.
