Teased since last year, BBC has finally released the official trailer for the Doctor Who 60th Anniversary Special! What makes each and every Doctor in the Sci-Fi series distinguishable are the interchanging opening sequence and their respective logos.

This time, the Doctor Who logo is brimming with a light source of energy around the ‘Who’, which could be implying Donna Noble trying to regain her memories about the Tenth Doctor’s face returning as the Fourteenth Doctor.

In a faint sequence, we see the TARDIS appear in the corner of the trailer, and out comes David Tennant, now reborn as the Fourteenth Doctor, whose first line revolves around Donna, “I’ve got this friend, called Donna Noble" as though it's his first mission to come directly towards her, despite what happened in the past.

In case you’ve forgotten the last time you saw Donna Noble in the series, fret not! The Doctor Who anniversary trailer briefly covered the past event from the Doctor himself, “I had to wipe her memory to save her life. If she remembers me, she will die, so what happens next?”

Beep the Meep

Older Doctor Who fans would fairly remember Beep the Meep, aka the white creature who first appeared in the comic strip published in Doctor Who Weekly.

In the comic, Star Beast, Beep crashed his ship as he was being pursued by Wrarth Warriors, which is likely the case as he is seen hiding on Earth beside some stuffed toys.

Of course, that place happens to be Donna Noble’s shed, pretending to be one of the said stuffed toys. This urged Donna to scream, “What the hell! We’ve got a bloody Martian in the shed!”

As cute as his appearance is, Beep's history in the Doctor Who comics revolves around being the leader of the Meeps, the ruthless conqueror race who seeks to remain free from the Wrarth Warriors.

The Wrarth Warriors, though less appealing in their physical nature, are insectoid species meant to be one of their universe's strongest species, whose purpose is to hunt down the conquering Meeps before it's too late.

So, remember when the Doctor said Donna’s going to die if she remembers the Doctor? Well, as far as what the trailer unveiled, there is likely a chance she will end up remembering the Doctor, endangering her life even more.

But apart from that, other ‘monsters’ and soldiers were seen ambushing her home, which could result in Donna losing her life.

As the Doctor said, “I don’t believe in destiny, but if destiny exists, then it is heading for Donna Noble.”

How I Met Your Mother’s Neil Patrick Harris is about to make his debut in the Doctor Who series as The Celestial Toymaker.

Dressed in quite colorful suits and in a variety of multiple disguises (at one point, he was literally a giant puppeteer), Neil’s role is rumored to be the character named Mr. Emporium.

But since nothing has been confirmed yet, the least we can deduce here is based on his teaser, which more or less depicts a performer of some sort.

David Tennant may be back but only for this anniversary special, as his Fourteenth Doctor will be followed by the Fifteenth Doctor, to be played by Sex Education’s Ncuti Gatwa.

It remains to be seen whether we’ll be seeing Ncuti halfway through the series or at the end of the third special episode, but either way, Doctor Who is entering a new era this coming Season 14!
