Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness Teases Monica Rambeau’s Captain Marvel


Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness drops a new trailer and unveiled much information for the fans. We saw an evil variant of Wanda and Strange, Mordo, and a tease of Patrick Stewart’s Professor X. One cameo that nobody expected is a yellow entity, rumored to be Human Torch, but if you take a closer look; looks like Wandavision’s Monica Rambeau as Captain Marvel.

The new trailer for Doctor Strange’s sequel is one of the highly anticipated films of 2022 as it's rumored to have multiple cameos from characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Theories are circulating online that known characters are going to make an appearance in the Doctor Strange film as it explores the multiverse. Characters like Reed Richards, The Wolverine, and even Deadpool are rumored to be on the film. After rumors spreading that Professor X will make a comeback in the Multiverse of Madness, Marvel officially confirmed that Patrick Stewart is reprising his role as X-Men’s Professor X.

One unexpected cameo though is from a yellow entity fighting Wanda. The yellow entity was first rumored as the Human Torch but if you take a second look, seems like the ‘Binary Mode’ of MCU’s Captain Marvel. However, it doesn’t look like Carol Danvers. Instead, it looks like Wandavision’s Monica Rambeau.

Monica Rambeau first debuted in Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel as a child who befriended Captain Danvers and chose Captain Marvel’s iconic costume color. Monica Rambeau’s mom is Maria Rambeau; Danvers’ best friend, who is also a pilot. Since Captain Marvel was set in 1995, Monica Rambeau grew up in the presence of the MCU.

In 2021’s Wandavision, Monica Rambeau an agent for S.W.O.R.D that handles Wanda’s mess in the film. Rambeau has entered Wanda’s hex twice that seemingly rewrites her cells causing her to have certain abilities.

On the counterpart which is Marvel Comics, Rambeau is also known as Spectrum. She has superhuman strength, speed, fighting skills, and can conjure energy blasts like Captain Marvel.

It was teased on Wandavision that Rambeau will have her abilities and will be a major part of the MCU and today, we finally got a sneak peek at what she will look like as her powers continue to develop.

Whether Rambeau is confirmed for Multiverse of Madness, we can’t imagine another Black Woman in ‘Binary Mode,’ other than Captain Marvel.

Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness will be in theaters on March 6, 2022.
