Even though the Doctor Strange sequel is yet to have its director, several reports about the film have been going around in the past few weeks. There's already a handful of characters and actors that are rumored to appear in the film, and given the nature of the sequel's story, it looks like fans will get to see alternate versions of the characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe as well.
MCU Cosmic claims that there will be other alternate realities with MCU characters to be featured in the film. This concept seems to have explained the title of the second movie, which is the Multiverse of Madness. The outlet revealed that a reliable source claims the movie will explore that idea and that fans will get to see some known MCU characters in "very different ways."
The site pointed out that it wouldn't actually bring back the original actors, instead, it is possible that there will be different actors who would play the characters in their own version of the MCU universe.
While it could be just wishful thinking, it is possible that the movie will explore that concept given the title and the nature of Stephen Strange's abilities and encounters. If this were to be confirmed, fans would definitely look forward to seeing Strange interact with alternate versions of their favorite Marvel characters.
On another note, a recent report also claims that Chiwetel Ejiofor will be reprising his role as Mordo in the sequel. For now, none of these rumors are yet to be confirmed so it is best to take these reports with a grain of salt.
