There's still no word as to where the Doctor Strange sequel stands in terms of its director. Following Scott Derrickson's leave on the project (but staying as the executive producer), fans are curious to see what other comic book films he'll be interested to do, and it looks like he's open to making a DC movie.

Given his extensive portfolio of supernatural films, a fan asked him on Twitter if Derrickson would be interested in directing a Justice League Dark movie. However, he would prefer to do a solo film instead. "I'd do Constantine," the director responded.

Known for his horror films like Sinister and The Exorcism of Emily Rose, there's no doubt that Derrickson would be a perfect fit to direct a Constantine film. In addition, he has directed Keanu Reeves in The Day the Earth Stood Still and the actor played Constantine in a film directed by Francis Lawrence back in 2005. Reeves has also expressed interest in reprising the role in a previous interview.

There's also Matt Ryan, who plays the part of Constantine in a more comic-accurate portrayal of the character. He is a part of The CW's Arrowverse and appeared on the NBC series from 2014 to 2015. Ryan also provided Constantine's voice in the animated Justice League Dark movie. That being said, there's also the choice of getting a new actor to play the part.

Derrickson didn't exactly confirm that he has any plans in making the movie and has only expressed interest in doing so. However, it would be interesting to see his take on the character.
