With only a few weeks before its worldwide theatrical release, Marvel Studios is in full-on promo mode for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Last week alone, the studio unveiled a series of posters hyping up the Benedict Cumberbatch and Elizabeth Olsen team-up flick. Surprisingly enough, Marvel's strategy of promoting the film actually varies from one country to another and one Reddit user noticed a difference between the US and Italian versions of the film's official poster.
Turns out, Marvel Studios has made some alterations to the Italian poster for Doctor Strange 2 to avoid drawing backlash from their fans. One part of the said poster sees a different hand gesture from Stephen Strange compared to the original poster which sees the Master of the Mystic arts doing a horn hand signal. The reason behind it is that the hand gesture used in the initial poster is deemed offensive and actually means being unfaithful to your partner.

Meanwhile, Multiverse of Madness is already proving to be this year's most dominant MCU hit as it was recently reported by several outlets that its pre-sale ticket numbers are the biggest of 2022 so far, even outselling DC's The Batman. We don't know for sure what happens in the film but things are looking pretty great for everyone involved. Personally speaking, it's the only Marvel project I'm looking forward to this year and I'm super stoked to see it in theaters.
