There's no denying that the entire Marvel fandom is still reeling following the triumphant returns of both Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield in Spider-Man: No Way Home but if you think all the surprises end there, we're barely scratching the surface as the upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will reportedly be home to more stunning cameos.

One appearance fans have been buzzing about as of late is Tom Cruise who is rumored to be playing a variant version of Iron Man in the film. The reports about him joining the MCU started two years ago but it wasn't until last month when alleged images of him on the set of the Sam Raimi-directed project began surfacing all across social media.

Now, more images of the Mission Impossible star wearing a motion capture suit are making the rounds all over the internet. Twitter page MCU Source dropped two pictures of Cruise wearing the said "mo-cap" outfit and it's sparking huge debate within the MCU community as far as its authenticity goes.

Thankfully, one fan quickly debunked the said images and as it turns out, both of them were photoshopped using the set images from Avengers: Infinity War featuring Benedict Cumber batch and Josh Brolin.

Despite the said images looking extremely fake, that's not to say that Cruise might not be involved in Doctor Strange 2 in some capacity. I'm not saying that he's in it but given all the surprises Marvel Studios has been pulling as of late, nothing sounds crazy anymore. I think we can genuinely expect some over-the-top stuff to happen now that the multiverse is coming into play.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness hits cinemas on May 6, 2022.
