Speaking of traversing the bowels of the Marvel multiverse, many believe that Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness just made an iconic Star Wars location canon to the billion-dollar franchise.

In a new clip Marvel released hyping up the arrival of the sequel, we see the Sorcerer Supreme and America Chavez jump from one universe to another. Eagle-eyed fans noticed one location that looks oddly similar to Mustafar, the place where Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker had their legendary duel in 2005's Revenge of the Sith.

Coincidentally, the same location was featured in the Disney+ animated series What If...?. Is Marvel officially acknowledging that there's also a galaxy far, far away? Check it out here:

Things like this shouldn't come as a shock when you think about it because both the Marvel and Star Wars franchises live under the same Disney umbrella. Now, whether or not this was just an easter egg to please the fans remains to be seen but I wouldn't expect characters like Luke Skywalker or Darth Vader to turn up in the MCU anytime soon.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will hit cinemas on May 6, 2022.
