Disneyland's Star Wars Theme Park is Opening Summer of 2019

After paying $4 billion to acquire Star Wars, Disney is making their best with the biggest franchise in the box office. We've already been getting a steady stream of films since 2015, but next year will see the opening of their official Star Wars theme park: Galaxy's Edge.

Check out the announcement:

As per the Disney Parks Blog:

While we are still hard at work creating our largest single-themed land expansions ever, I have some exciting news to share today. Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge will open in summer 2019 at Disneyland Resort and in late fall 2019 at Walt Disney World Resort, when guests will land in the middle of the action as they live their own Star Wars stories

With Star Wars now bigger than ever, it would be the perfect time for Disney to release a theme park to get even more fans excited. The trailer didn't really give us that much on the actual park, but we do know that there will be some life-size ships lettered around, as well as some fun themed restaurants.

For now, all we can do is wait for Disney to reveal any more upcoming park attractions. Hopefully there will be seasonal events to mark the arrival of upcoming Star Wars films. I wonder what's in store for Episode IX?
