Disney Reveals Official Logo for the Live-Action Aladdin

Next year will see the release of Disney's live-action adaptation of Aladdin, and marketing has slowly started to trickle out for the film.

Thanks to DisInsider, we have a look at the movie's official logo. Check it out:

We don't have any images of any of the characters that we're going to be meeting in the film yet, but we do know that the film has already wrapped filming, and the movie is currently deep into the post-production process.

The live-action Aladdin is directed by Guy Ricthie and stars Mena Massoud (Aladdin), Naomi Scott (Jasmine), and Marwan Kenzari (Jafar). Probably the biggest draw of the film, however, is actor Will Smith who will be taking over the role of Genie which Robin Williams originated.

I can't help but think that Williams would have been asked to reprise the role if he were still alive today. After all, a lot of his improvisation is what gave life to the character and made him so memorable in the first place.

What's interesting is, this live-action piece will also include some new songs written by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul. The original film's songwriter Alan Menken was also said to have contributed some musical pieces to this film.

Catch Aladdin in theaters May 24, 2019.
