Disney+ Reportedly Giving Beauty and The Beast's Gaston the Prequel Series He Deserves

Let's face it: Gaston and LeFou were probably the best things that happened to the live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast. With that in mind, it's no surprise that these characters could be getting their own Disney+ series.

The news comes from The Hollywood Reporter, which revealed that Luke Evans and Josh Gad are expected to reprise their roles as Gaston and LeFou in "a six-episode musical event" that is set to air on Disney's streaming service. In addition to playing the villain's sidekick, Gad will reportedly work as a co-writer along with showrunners Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz.

But could we also see Emma Watson and Dan Stevens are Belle and the not-so-beastly Beast? The report states that this will be a prequel series that could follow the adventures of Gaston and LeFou before they got involved with a bookworm and a grumpy prince-turned-monster. Nevertheless, some fans are hopeful that perhaps Watson could show up to sing about her daily routine around the town.

Although it's a delightful idea, some people are not exactly happy about a Beauty and the Beast prequel series, even if it does involve Gaston. After all, Disney has been churning out live-action reboots now instead of focusing on new stories. Still, we're excited about the prospect of hearing a duet between Evans and Gad all over again.
