Disney is Still Working on ANOTHER Pirates of the Caribbean Movie

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales ended up being one of the lest well-received PotC films ever made, and a lot of people were sure that the film had marked the end of the entire franchise. However, news has it that Disney is putting to work another film, but it might be a while before we get to see it in theaters.

As per GWW, Disney has commissioned Dead Men Tell No Tales writers Jeff Nathanson, Terry Rossio, and Ted Elliot to write a script for Pirates 6. What's more, Joaquin Ronning is return as director right after he finishes work on the Maleficent sequel.

We don't know what the story will be about, but people are expecting a return from Brenton Thwaites Henry Turner as well as Kaya Scodelario's Carina Smith a.k.a. Barbossa's daughter.

Of course, when PotC comes up, there's also the consideration of a return from Johnny Depp's Captain Jack Sparrow. After Dead Men Tell No Tales though, I kind of felt that Depp has gotten really tired of the role, and his portrayal in the last film was nowhere near as enthusiastic as his Captain Jack in the first three Pirates movies.

I guess all this news of him and Amber Heard has really taken a toll on Depp and it's started to affect his work. Even his appearance as Grindelwald at SDCC 2018 wasn't so well-received.

No release date has been set for Pirates of the Caribbean 6.
