Disney is Bringing the Avengers, Deadpool, Star Wars, and More Back to Theaters

With movie theaters coming back to the United States this July, studios are doing their part to get some butts in seats and save this business. High profile movies are crucial for these theater chains to do well, which is probably why they have high hopes for Christopher Nolan's Tenet. It seems like Disney will also be doing their best to make sure people watch movies in theaters again since they plan on showing a number of Marvel and Star Wars films to get people interested.

The tentative list Disney has released includes these movies: The Avengers, Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, Black Panther, Deadpool, Zootopia, The Greatest Showman, Iron Man, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Inside Out, and more. Those are some high-quality films, though it is interesting to see the R-Rated Deadpool amongst PG-13 films like Star Wars and Iron Man.

It's entirely possible that Disney wants to make an extra buck from this but this still helps a ton of movie theaters since people will likely be interested in seeing some of these classics. Hell, some younger fans have probably never seen The Empire Strikes Back or Iron Man in theaters before so this will be a treat for them.

Sure, a number of these movies are already available on Disney+ but there is something about watching films in a theater that houses just can't capture. We really don't want to lose movie theaters in our lifetime since they can still give us thrills and chills. There's another reason to hate COVID-19.

Expect to see a number of these movies in theaters this July, though not all of these films will be showing. It will depend on the movie theater if they want to book these movies.
