Disney and Pixar's Short Film 'Bao' Can Now Be Viewed Online

Now that it's being nominated for an Oscar, Disney and Pixar have given fans a great little treat, though it might make them not want to eat. While The Incredibles 2 ended up just being okay, the short that came before it, Bao, gained a ton of love from fans and critics. Its nomination for Best Animated Short is well deserved and fans can check it out now if they haven't yet.

Pixar has now released the short in their YouTube channel for the world to see. Once again, this is great news for those that haven't seen it yet and now they don't need to buy Incredibles 2 on Blu-Ray to witness it. Seeing this after the trailers was a treat for everyone and now everyone can have this treat on their computers.

In Bao, an aging Chinese mom suffering from empty nest syndrome gets another chance at motherhood when one of her dumplings springs to life as a lively, giggly dumpling boy. Mom excitedly welcomes this new bundle of joy into her life, but Dumpling starts growing up fast, and Mom must come to the bittersweet revelation that nothing stays cute and small forever.

This short film from Pixar Animation Studios and director Domee Shi explores the ups and downs of the parent-child relationship through the colorful, rich, and tasty lens of the Chinese immigrant community in Canada.
