Oshi no Ko’s first season ended with Episode 11 this week, and it got a lot of attention for showing the B-Komachi debut. Though some eagle-eyed fans noticed that the Oshi no Ko anime may have dropped a massive manga teaser.

Specifically, some fans noticed that a scene from the manga was adapted differently in the anime as there seemed to have been a reference to the mysterious crow that has become a curious enigma in the manga.

Spoiler Warning: There are spoilers for the Oshi no Ko manga in this article.

While this recent scene has some anime-original elements, for the most part, the Oshi no Ko anime has been faithful to the manga source material.

Over its 11-episode run, the anime did not deviate at all from the events in the manga.

While the order of events was sometimes changed slightly, all the big moments from the manga were there.

For instance, the final episode showed Kana Arima's title drop during the B-Komachi performance – a favorite scene among many Kana fans.

So, it was interesting that the show’s staff decided to add an anime-original scene to the final part of Episode 11.

In the manga, Ruby did indeed visit her mother’s grave, though her visit was shown in only a few panels. Meanwhile, in the anime, Ruby was shown being watched by a crow.

This may not be all that much different from the manga, but it is a nice nod toward manga fans as it foreshadows something that will come up in the latter parts of the story.

Oshi no Ko has always had a supernatural element given its premise. Though in the manga, this supernatural aspect of the story has taken a backseat for quite some time.

That was until a mysterious crow girl appeared before Aqua after he explained Gorou Amemiya’s story to Akane during the manga’s sixth arc.

Soon after, it was revealed that the crow girl has also appeared before Ruby. Though until now, the crow girl continues to be a mystery.

Given this new scene, there’s a chance the anime will incorporate this mysterious crow girl a bit earlier in the story, though we’ll have to wait a while before we see it.

While it’s already confirmed, there’s no word yet on when Oshi no Ko Season 2 will be released.
