Did Mark Hamill Just Tease Kylo Ren’s Fate In Star Wars: Episode IX?

Mark Hamill's messing with the Star Wars fanbase again. Celebrating his Star Wars co-star's Oscar nomination for his role in the biographical crime comedy-drama BlacKkKlansman, Hamill congratulates Adam Driver with a tweet teasing what might or might not happen in Star Wars: Episode IX.

Sharing a BlacKkKlansman poster along with a bright photo of Driver on Twitter, Hamill congratulates The Last Jedi actor for nabbing an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his most recent film. While the post seems pretty innocent enough, Hamill also adds a few lines teasing Driver's role in Episode IX.

"Congratulations Adam on your well-deserved #Oscars nomination for #BlacKkKlansman, playing a good man only pretending to be evil! #justsayin," the Star Wars legend wrote in his tweet.

Driver's Star Wars character, Kylo Ren, has been nothing short of a complex character. The estranged son of Harrison Ford's Han Solo and the late Carrie Fisher's Leia Organa, Kylo (otherwise known as Ben Solo) has often been seen struggling to find his place between the Dark Side and the Light Side in both Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

While Kylo Ren might have fully embraced the dark side after killing his master and rising to become the Supreme Leader of the First Order in The Last Jedi, fans are still hoping to see a redemption arc for the character in Episode IX.

Could Hamill's tweet confirm Kylo Ren's redemption? Or could the Star Wars Joker (pun intended) be pulling everyone's leg again?

Let's wait and see.

Star Wars: Episode IX premieres December 20, 2019.
