His post on Thursday was no different. Jackman jokingly asked the Academy not to boost Reynold's ego by giving him an Oscar nomination after his movie Spirited's song Good Afternoon made it to the Oscars shortlist. However, what got the fans' attention was what he said about "Wolverine and Deadpool."
"Ryan Reynolds getting a nomination in the best song category would make the next year of my life insufferable," Jackman jokingly said in the video he shared on Twitter. "I have to spend a year with him shooting 'Wolverine and Deadpool.' Trust me, it would be impossible. It would be a problem."
"I loved 'Spirited.' It's a great movie, the entire family watched it and had a blast. I love Will [Ferrell], I love Octavia [Spencer]... and 'Good Afternoon,' I laughed the entire way through. It is absolutely brilliant," he said.
"But please, from the bottom of my heart, do not validate Ryan Reynolds [with an Oscar nomination]."

Reynolds didn't let his pal's trolling pass by. The Free Guy star shared Jackman's video with his reaction.
"Disagree. I think the deepfakes that sung and danced for Will and I would love to perform at the Oscars," Reynolds wrote.
His second response fueled the rumors about the Deadpool 3 title because he quoted it.
"Also 'Wolverine and Deadpool', bub?" Reynolds added. Jackman doubled down at the mention of the rumored title, responding to his co-star with, "It's catchy, right!?"
