Diana is on the Run in New Still from Wonder Woman 1984

Should it not have been for COVID-19, we would have already seen Wonder Woman 1984, but the way things are, we're all waiting for the movie to come out next month. Promotion for WW84 has been going steadily, and just in we have a new picture of Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) running down a street.

We don't really have context for the scene yet, but watching the previews and BTS footage, it's probably a build-up to Diana getting on the invisible jet. Of course, it could be for something else entirely, but until we get any new previews, all we can really do is guess.

This is just my personal observation though, but it looks like they've made the costume a lot more bright and colorful when it comes to this sequel. You'll also notice that Gal Gadot is kind of ‘beef-ier' in this shot, but that could just be me.

With a lot of countries pretty much still in turmoil over the pandemic, I'm starting to feel that an August release date for Wonder Woman 1984 may not be such a good idea. Then again, countries like New Zealand have been able to successfully handle the virus, and it's possible that WB could release the movie there first and wait for the rest of the world to be able to open theaters. With Wonder Woman being such a highly-anticipated property though, I think they'll be willing to wait it out.

For now, Wonder Woman 1984 is sitting on a release date on Aug. 14.
