We're finally down to the final episodes and it's so hard not to get excited for what's going to happen next in Dexter: New Blood Episode 9.
The hunt for fellow serial killer Kurt Caldwell and Angela Bishop's probe into Dexter will presumably continue in the upcoming episode. Executive producer Scott Reynolds teased what's to come with a tweet that showed a very creepy Dexter.
Dexter: New Blood Episode 9 Hints
While there are little details about the next episode, Reynolds teased some details on his Twitter page.
“Next week’s episode is my most favorite thing I’ve ever written for television,” Reynolds wrote, which was accompanied by a photo of him and Michael C. Hall, garbed in Dexter’s infamous kill gear.
“So excited to share this ep with the world next Sunday. #DexterNewBlood.”
Based on what Hall is wearing, it’s clear that Dexter is going to kill again? Honestly, we’re holding our breaths, wondering who could it be? But for massive Dexter fans, they already know what’s up.
Dexter vs. Kurt
Dexter had been able to suppress his need to kill for over a decade, until he learned that wanderer Matt Caldwell had killed five people and evaded punishment. He had no idea Matt was the son of Kurt Caldwell, a powerful and affluent businessman who also happens to be a serial killer, at the time.
The difference is that Kurt preys on the helpless, which means he violates Dexter's code. But Kurt is also after Dexter for the murder of Matt.
Kurt had his lackey Elric Kane kidnap Dexter so he could witness him execute Harrison Morgan in Dexter: New Blood Episode 7. He'd spent the entire day with the teen when he reappeared in the room, armed with a gun, forcing Harrison to flee into the woods, where he planned to hunt him down as he does with his victims. Dexter, though, swooped in and saved him.
Dexter began opening up to Harrison about his own dark "thoughts" after being forced to explain what had happened. He revealed that his father Harry Morgan had given him a code to help him control his impulses and promised to tell Harrison everything.
