The highly anticipated adaptation of Frank Herbert's Dune is steadily moving forward as it continues to add new cast members. Now the upcoming Denis Villeneuve film has finally been given a premiere date.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dune will premiere in November 2020. It looks like Warner Bros. will be taking advantage of the Thanksgiving weekend next year by launching a major film with a star-studded cast.

The reboot will star Timothee Chalamet as Paul Atreides, a young man who is destined to change everything in the desert planet of Arrakis. Chalamet will be joined by Rebecca Ferguson, who will play Paul's mother Lady Jessica.

The cast of Dune is certainly made up of some major talents. Screen icon Charlotte Rampling will portray Reverend Mother Mohiam while Stellan Skarsgard has joined as Baron Harkonnen. Dave Bautista was cast as Glossu Rabban and Josh Brolin will play Gurney Halleck. The most recent addition to the cast is Jason Momoa, who confirmed that he is the new Duncan Idaho.

There are other big names that are expected to be attached to the sci-fi project. Zendaya, Oscar Isaac, and Javier Bardem are reportedly in negotiations to join the film as well. The Spider-Man: Far From Home actress is being considered for the role of Chani while the Star Wars: Episode IX might end up playing Paul's father Duke Leto Atreides. Bardem might accept the role of Stilgar, a Fremen leader who eventually helps Paul in the story.

Dune is expected to begin production in Budapest this spring. The film is currently scheduled for release on November 20, 2020.
