DeNA's Pokemon Masters is Almost a Proper Pokemon Mobile Game

Now that Pokemon GO has proven to be quite the money maker, DeNa is hoping their new game, Pokemon Masters is just as successful, if not more. The Pokemon Company made the announcement of this game during a Pokemon-centric conference, where they announced a number of new services and games for the franchise. Considering how Fire Emblem Heroes, which also comes from DeNa, is also making a ton of money, expectations are high.

Fans are excited for this since Masters looks like the closest thing we have to a conventional Pokemon RPG, minus the exploring and maybe the catching. Players will team up with their favorite trainers from the games as they try and be the best through various battles. From the screenshots seen thus far, it looks like it could be a fun game.

Will we ever get a proper Pokemon RPG for mobile devices? Maybe one day.

Here's how The Pokemon Company describes the game:

"A new Pokémon mobile game called Pokémon Masters is on the way for iOS and Android devices from The Pokémon Company and DeNA. Pokémon Masters lets players experience a new type of Pokémon battling on the go, and it features many famous Pokémon Trainers from the long history of Pokémon video games. Gameplay has been optimized for smart devices, allowing anyone to casually pick it up and play."

Mobile gamers will be able to download Pokemon Masters on iOS and Android sometime in 2019. More details for the game will probably be released soon.
