Death's Game is a new fantasy Kdrama on Amazon Prime Video based on a webtoon. The show follows the story of one man who was cursed by Death to go through the lives of 12 individuals on the verge of their deaths. One of the star-studded actors in Death's Game is Lee Jae Wook. What is Death's Game Series About?
Death's Game follows the story of an unfortunate man who lost his will to survive after a series of failures. The man, Choi Yi Jae (played by Seo In Guk), jumps to his death from a building only to face Death's (played by Park So Dam) wrath.
She condemns Yi Jae to live through the lives of 12 individuals doomed to die as punishment for "seeking her out before she came for him." In the end, Yi Jae will have to go to hell for what he did wrong.
After giving him a brief taste of what hell is like, Yi Jae is determined to live so he can change his fate. Death gives him a chance to do so only if he can survive the individual's destiny.
What is Lee Jae Wook's Role in Death's Game?
In Death's Game, Lee Jae Wook is one of the 12 characters that Yi Jae lives as. His character is Cho Tae Sang (aka Prisoner 1201), a 21-year-old aspiring MMA fighter who decides to give up on his dream because of his family's circumstances.
One day, he receives a call offering him money. In return, he has to take the fall for a rich guy's DUI accident. Since he is still underage, he is only supposed to get probation. But because the victim died, he was sentenced to two years in prison.
With his release date nearing, Tae Sang blackmails the lawyer to give him more money because he had to spend time in prison. This puts a target on his back from the other inmates.
When Yi Jae takes over his life, he decides to look for the money his previous character stashed away and use it to start a new life. Unfortunately for him, the villain did not believe him and had him killed by a guy Yi Jae thought was his friend in prison.
This brings Yi Jae back to Death's realm and eager to start his next reincarnation.
Death's Game is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video. The last episodes won't be available until January 5, 2024.
